My Favorite Class in My First Year at Holy Cross, so Far.

Choosing between classes during your first semester of your first year can be tough, especially if you don’t know what exactly to expect, but that’s okay. Everyone goes through the same process and everyone makes mistakes, but it’s part of the college learning process. I came into Holy Cross somewhat knowing what I wanted to study, so to see if I actually enjoy it at the college level, I took the course.

Computer Science

Anytime I tell someone I’m taking Computer Science they look at me like I’m crazy. It looks like a tough subject, and even though I love it, it is really hard. However, I’ve come to realize that even though it’s hard, I actually enjoy it. It’s one thing for the class to be hard and to hate it, but it’s another if it’s hard but I like it. I love both my professors because they’re so helpful and they are always willing to help out, making me more comfortable in the subject. I know it’ll get harder as I progress, but I’m up for the challenge.

A class shouldn’t be a burden, but more of a fun learning experience, and that’s what I’m getting out of CS. Even if a class is bad at the moment, it’s good to note that there’ll be many more professors and semesters in your college career, and being positive will go a long way.
